Andrea Chénier - from Teatro Alla Scala

Set against the backdrop of the french revolution Andrea Chénier is loosely based on the turbulent real life events of the poet of the same name. Along with the servant Carlo Gérard. Chénier fall in love with a young aristocrate Maddalena, and will do anything to win over her heart. First performed at the Teartro Alla Scala in 1896, Umberto Giordano's opera is brought to like by Russian soprano Anna Netrebko and her husband Yusif Eyvazov.
